Award-Winning Hebron Marching Band Invited to January 2022 Tournament of Roses’ Rose Parade, Community to Celebrate with Weekend Celebration of Festivities, Commemorative Visit from Rose Parade President, Bob Miller

WHAT: The award-winning Hebron Marching Band has received an invitation-only opportunity to perform in the 2022 Tournament of Roses’ Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. The band is one of only six Dallas-area bands invited to perform in more than 50 years. The Hebron Band will be one of 24 bands marching around the 5 ½ mile-long parade route along Colorado Boulevard with historically 700,000 cheering spectators, and millions more tuning in on television and online across the globe.

The Hebron Band will proudly represent the Lewisville Independent School District (LISD), the Hebron High School community, the surrounding communities of Lewisville, Carrollton, Plano, The Colony, Frisco, the entire DFW region, and the great state of Texas at the Tournament of Roses' Rose Parade, in January 2022. In celebration of this prestigious honor, the band invites the community to celebrate and give back with a weekend of festivities.

Starting on Thursday, September 23, the Hebron Band will kick off the weekend’s festivities with a community-wide food drive in partnership with North Texas Food Bank. Donation drop-off begins on Thursday, September 23 on North Texas Giving Day. For more info. on how to give, CLICK HERE!

On Friday, September 24 and Saturday, September 25, the band invites the community to celebrate with a special performance and a Rose Parade Presidential visit by Parade President, Bob Miller and his wife Barbara, to honor The Hebron Band for their long-standing musical achievements. Miller will present the official commemorative Tournament of Roses’ Rose Parade Flag to Hebron High School Principal Amy Boughton, Director of Bands Andy Sealy, and the award-winning Hebron Marching Band in two ceremonial presentations.

On Friday night, September 24, during half-time at the Hebron versus Plano East district football game, the Hebron Band will be joined on-field by LISD officials, state and local officials, sponsors, donors and alumni.  They will be joined by Kevin Falconer, Mayor of Carrollton, Texas, to receive an honorable declaration for their accolades within the band community.
